Producer's description
Having inherited in 1946 2.5 hectares of vineyards located in the valley of the Marne River, Bertrand Devavry decided to found his own Champagne House. Just a decade later, Devavry champagne was already well known among connoisseurs and connoisseurs of this exquisite drink. Beginning in 1974, Bertrand's daughter, Giselle Devavri, and her husband Jean-Loup Mea began to take an active part in the family business. Thanks to their dedication and enthusiasm, the House's vineyard area has reached 7 hectares, and champagne sales have reached 125,000 bottles per year. Recently, the company has been headed by Alexander Mea-Devavri. Inspired by the cultural heritage of the family, he strives to preserve all the best achievements of previous generations: excellent vines growing on the famous slopes of the Champagne region, the experience of the House of Devavry and its traditions. For several generations, the family has kept the subtleties of the production of its champagne a secret, the stable success of which, of course, contributes to tight control at every stage of production. Today Champagne House Devavri is one of the elite wines in the world.
After more than 4 years of research and development aimed at creating the most perfect cuvée, Alexandre Mea-Devavry decided to create his own Champagne House, under whose name the magnificent champagne under the brand name "Carbon" is produced. Thus, today the property of Bertrand Devavry consists of two champagne houses: Champagne Carbon and Champagne Devavry . Each champagne house produces elite cuvees under its own brand, but as before, it is still the property of the Devavri family.
